Several STSV clubs took advantage of the youth and sport programme to train new leaders this year. After two three-day weekend courses in Magglingen, a total of ten «Dancing Standard/Latin» leader certificates were awarded, the highest number in years. The new Y+S instructors will now make their knowledge available to young dancers in clubs and dance schools in a targeted manner.
In the 2026 dance sport course, Latin/Standard was combined with Rock'n'Roll as before. This constellation made it possible to gain an insight into another discipline, broaden one's horizons and make new friends. The first part of the course from 13-15 February was characterised by input and knowledge building, while the second part from 27-29 March focused on the practical application and independent design of lessons.
The new Y+S instructors are Jale Zinser, Andrina Vetterli (both TDC), Zlata Yermakova, Aigerim Juvet, Luca-Baptiste Ruef (all TTZ), Gina Eichenberger (Dance2bee), Lisa Fitze, Janine Rohrer, Mara Strelen (all Line Dance Hall) and Julie Chartoire - congratulations and have fun in your Y+S activities!
The dates for the 2027 Y+S basic course have already been set: 19-21 February (part 1) and 2-4 April.
