13 out of a total of 18 STSV clubs took part in the STSV's first dialogue day, which was held in Olten on 19 October. The STSV Board found out how the member clubs view the Swiss dance scene and how they perceive the Board's working methods, what their fears are and what their wishes are. From this, the club representatives present - mainly club presidents - and the board members jointly derived various principles that will now be incorporated into the new statutes, which will be voted on in 2025.
Even if the dialogue day was not yet about deciding on solutions, this naturally came through again and again. Initial ideas emerged that could certainly be described as "working together instead of against each other". It became clear that the clubs need to actively participate in the development, find young talent again with the support of the association, generate Y+S coaches or organise tournaments.
The participants appreciated the opportunity to meet in a new setting for once, outside of a competition or a well-paced delegates' meeting, and to get to know each other better in the process. Various attendees expressed the view that they would like to become more involved in the common goals of the Swiss dance scene and will also take the new ideas back to their clubs.
President Walter Vogt, who initiated the event, was also very pleased: "This day of dialogue with so many clubs in attendance encourages me to continue working with full commitment for the good of the association."
