On the first weekend in October in the multi-purpose hall in Wallisellen, the Turnier-Tanzsportklub Zurich (TTZ) is responsible for the implementation of all Swiss dancesport championships 2020. The STSV confirms the implementation of the title fights in standard and Latin on Saturday, October 3rd. In addition, the organizers and the national dance sports association jointly decided to postpone the 10-dance championships to Sunday, October 4th.

The championships of the ten dancers was known to be planned within the Glattal Pokal on August 29th. This termination would have led to considerable additional costs due to the now visible effects of the Covid 19 situation. The sponsorship acquisition proves to be extremely difficult for all sports organizers, so that the expected income from TTZ partners and spectators could not have offset the fixed expenses, including for judges from abroad.

The STSV has also guaranteed the TTZ the best possible support for the organization of this SM weekend, so that this year’s title fights can take place on the first weekend in October in a worthy setting.

For the 10-dance couples, who had not been able to prepare optimally during the training restrictions, the postponement also results in a better preparation time.

Incidentally, the Glattal Pokal from August 29th in the Wallisellen Doktorhaus remains on the calendar as an STSV tournament.
