Briner/Egli are CSIT Vice World Champions

The DUZ dance couple Jürg Briner/Katharina Egli won the silver medal at the CSIT World Championships Standard Seniors IV in Schladming. Having won the last three tournaments, they were among the favourites. They lived up to this role from the start of the tournament and impressed with a very good performance in the first four rounds.

They were only narrowly beaten in the final. In their category, 38 couples from 24 nations danced for the title of the "Workers' and Amateur World Sports Confederation", as the association CSIT (Confédération Sportive Internationale Travailliste et Amateur), which has been recognised by the IOC since 1973, is called.
A total of 200 million athletes from 60 nations and 33 sports are organised in the CSIT.
