Training course for adjudicators
The planned adjudicator training course, which was originally scheduled to take place in spring 2024, has been postponed until the autumn due to insufficient registrations. We regret this postponement, but are confident that we will be able to hold a successful training course in the autumn. Five new STSV tournament DJs trained
In 2023, five graduates successfully completed their training as tournament DJs. The workshop covered the topics of regulations, communication, technology and music, giving them the tools they need to provide the musical backdrop at dance sport tournaments. Lively discussions and feedback showed that the training was well received by Miriam Lehnherr, Alexander Florin, Stephan Frehner, Pirmin Kistler and Martin Stählin.
Six graduates from the STSV course for disc jockeys
The first part of the STSV course for disc jockeys took place last Sunday at the "Dancers" in Wallisellen. Course leader Gunar Haas and his co-instructors Oliver Baumann and Brigitte Stäldi welcomed six graduates to give them the basic theoretical knowledge that is required when "putting on" the music and interacting with the tournament management and speaker. In his work, he takes into account the regulations and is an important team member alongside the tournament management and the speaker. Many Swiss sports clubs are struggling to find new people for voluntary board work - the tasks and responsibilities are becoming more and more diverse, training offers have been lacking until now.
Guests welcome at adjudicator training
Interested dancers, club officials or even parents of young couples are welcome to attend the compulsory further training of STSV adjudicators. The German expert Petra Matschullat-Horn, former professional dancer and the only WDSF examination expert in Germany, will guide the STSV officials through the weekend at the Zurich dance school "time2dance" on 5/6 March 2022, refreshing their knowledge and skills
