Davide Corrodi and Maja Kucharczyk progressed to the third round at the World Standard Championships in Sibiu, Romania, and ultimately finished 33rd out of 71 couples. Placings in the top half of the rankings have now become „the norm“ for the couple from the Zug Ballroom Dance Club (TSCZ). Just two weeks ago, they finished 36th out of 81 couples in Brno, Czech Republic. And at the European Ten-Dance Championships a month ago in Rome, Italy, they even shone by finishing fourth, achieving their best result to date.
The next highlight for Corrodi/Kucharczyk will be the Swiss Championships in Ticino. On Saturday, 22 November, they will challenge last year's winners Vova Kasilov/Yulia Dreier (DUZ) in the standard competition at the Centro Sportivo in Tenero. On Sunday, they will be defending champions themselves in the ten-dance competition.
Anyone who wants to challenge Corrodi/Kucharczyk on the dance floor can still register until 8 November. And this weekend in Ticino will also be spectacular for the audience. In 2014, the last time Tenero hosted the Swiss dance elite, the hall was packed and the atmosphere was fantastic. Hotel rooms near the sports hall can still be booked. Noi tutti - andiamo al Ticino!
