The Swiss ten-dancers in Valais for the first time

For the first time, a Swiss dance sport championship is being held in Valais. The organisers of the Club Danse Azur de Sion, led by President Dominique Evéquoz, are combining the national ten-dance championship with the Valaisanne Cup on Saturday 24 August. The competitions will take place in the Salle Polyvalente in Conthey, about 5 kilometres west of Sion.

The competitions in all age categories will take place in the afternoon between 11am and 6pm, before the dance-loving public are invited to take to the dance floor themselves to the live music of the five-piece "Groupe Scotch". In the main category, World Championship finalists Davide Corrodi/Maja Kucharczyk from TSCZ will be defending their championship title and will be challenged by David Büchel/Flavia Landolfi.
