The Swiss Dance Sport Association has new statutes, which come into force immediately. At an extraordinary delegates' meeting held in Olten on 6 December, the new version was clearly accepted by the delegates with 302 votes to 42.
The revision was initiated by the Executive Board in 2024, and the new version was drafted by a Statutes Commission appointed by the Presidents' Conference in June 2025, in which President Walter Vogt and Honorary President Erich Stäldi were actively involved, along with representatives from three clubs (Dance Unlimited Zurich, Happy Dancers Baden and Unico Dance Club). The previous statutes were adopted 18 years ago. The purpose of the revision was to improve the language, structure and content in line with the current requirements of association law, to take into account the guidelines of Swiss Olympic and to reflect current practice in Swiss dance sport.
„With the new statutes, we are laying the strategic foundation for the future of Swiss dance sport,“ said STSV President Walter Vogt, expressing his delight and thanking the members of the Statutes Commission and the delegates present for their trust.
