Compulsory further training course for adjudicators

The mandatory further training course will take place on 16 and 17 May 2026. So here is the most important information:

Location:Uetlibergstrasse 54, 8045 Zurich, 1st floor

Time: Saturday and Sunday from 10:00-17:00

Parking: in the neighbourhood, often blue zone, so preferably by public transport if possible

Food:
1 hour lunch break. The catering options on site are not ideal, we will will use the delivery service again. If you don't want this, it's best bring something yourself.

Licence:
(book, existing other licence) Please bring your adjudicator books with you so that we can stick the new licence in straight away. For judges without a judging book (foreigners): bring your existing licence with you so that we can check that it is correct and issue the new licence.

Lecturers

Dagmar Beck is a member of the 1st Tanzclub Ludwigsburg and has shaped German dance sport for over four decades as a top athlete, coach and official. Her amateur career included numerous successes as a multiple national champion in standard, Latin and 10 dances, finalist in the German Standard Championships, semi-finalist in Latin and international successes such as 1st place at the Belgium Open and the Manchester Trophy. As a member of the German national team (national squad) and the A standard formation of the 1st TCL, she became a four-time world, European and German champion. She received the Silver Laurel Leaf for her achievements, presented by German President Richard von Weizsäcker.

In 1990, Dagmar switched to professional dancing and became German vice-champion and vice-world champion in freestyle dancing (Die Schwarze Witwe). She is the coach of the 1st Tanzclub Ludwigsburg and has trained numerous youth couples to 99 national championship titles. Under her direction, the club's A standard formation has won 12 world, 5 European and 13 German championship titles.

In addition to her work as a coach, Dagmar has been the club's youth manager, a city association coach in Ludwigsburg since 1997, a state coach in Baden-Württemberg (TBW) since 2008 and an association coach for Tanzsport Deutschland (DTV) since 2016. She holds the highest coaching licence A and the judging licence S (WDSF).

Manuela Faller began her dancing career in 1981 in amateur standard and Latin (DTV, highest category). She has been dancing Latin American dances professionally since 1991 and has represented Germany and Scotland at European and World Championships, including as a semi-finalist. She reached numerous finals at international professional competitions such as the US Open, Canadian Open, French Open, German Open and twice at the Blackpool Rising Star Professional Latin and won the first Rising Star Professional German Open. She ended her active career in 1998.

Manuela has held the highest Latin coaching licence (DTV) since 2003 and has been training coaches ever since, including judges at all licence levels since 2009. She is a member of the DTV training department (since 2015) as well as head coach and regional Latin coach in several federal states. She has been a member of the DTV National Teachers Team since 2014.

Her judging licences include: national (since 2014, highest category), international WDC licence (since 1998), WDSF B licence (since 2015) and A licence (since 2017). She has judged the Australian Open (2017), the WDSF GrandSlam Taipei (2018) and the Junior II World Ten Dance Championships in Sibiu (2019), among others.
