Anyone living in Geneva and the surrounding area is really in luck when it comes to competitive dancing – there’s a huge choice. The Happy Dance & Move Association, founded by Mikhail Koptev, President, together with Yasmine Pittet, Vice-President, has now been accepted into the STSV community. The club offers training in both standard and Latin dances for dancers of all levels. A very warm welcome!
Mikhail Koptev brings extensive international experience to the association. During his competitive career, he reached No. 1 in the official WDSF World Ranking in Ten Dance, as well as No. 19 in Latin and No. 40 in Standard. He was a finalist at the 2016 WDSF World Championship in Ten Dance, finishing sixth, and won bronze at the 2018 WDSF European Championship in Ten Dance in Brno. He is also a WDC World Champion in Ten Dance and a winner of numerous international Ten Dance competitions.
Today, Mikhail combines his competitive experience with a passion for making ballroom dancing accessible to everyone. The aim of Happy Dance & Move Association is to bring together dance for beginners and enthusiasts at a recreational level with high-level training for competitive and professional dancers, creating opportunities for everyone to develop and enjoy the sport at their own pace.
