After a half-year competition break, due to the global pandemic, it finally starts again. The Glattal Pokal on August 29 in Wallisellen will be the first dance sport event in the second half of the year. There will be numerous premieres at the restart of the 2020 season. Due to the still precarious corona situation, a comprehensive security concept is used in the wonderful hall of the Doktorhaus in Wallisellen, which is intended to protect dance couples and the public as well as enable to facilitate the return to the dance floor. In view of the upcoming Swiss championships, which are also to be held by the Turnier-Tanzsportklub Zürich (TTZ), the organizers wanted to minimize the health risks as best as possible. For example, all viewers are required to wear a mask.

After extensive testing of the new STSV tournament software, the registration portal is now open to couples from Switzerland and abroad. Detailed information on registration can be found on the event website: www.glattal-pokal.ch.

For the first time in many years, SDSC tournaments are being integrated again at an STSV event. Entry-level classes and popular sports expand the spectrum – this creates dance events from which both associations should benefit in the medium and long term.
