Geiger/Pisarenko were motivated to the hilt to make their first national appearance since winning the SM silver medal last autumn. They met the other two medallists at this event, which also made the tournament a late SM revenge. The most talented TTZ pair took the lead right from the start in the Samba, then had to let Bergant/Valentino from Tanzsportclub Zug draw level in the Cha-Cha-Cha, before they won the Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive again. In the last three scores, the eventual winners were placed first three times and second twice, with the runners-up breathing down their necks, dancing at the same high level but unable to pass them. One step behind them, Hofstetter/Hoffmeister (TTZ) danced their way safely into third place, Zimmermann/Hoffmeister (TTZ), Spirig/Bachmann (DUZ) and Gemperle/Hollenstein (TTZ) followed in the other places.
The numerous spectators enjoyed a great Latin show in the atmospheric Walliseller dance school, where you can directly feel the breath of the dance couples. With the freshly crowned ten dance champions Corrodi/Kucharczyk as well as Cuoco/Kosareva and Wibawa/Wibawa, who have been absent for some time, STSV has three more top couples to offer. It is to be hoped that they will all be able to compete at the Swiss Latin Championships, which will take place on 27 November in the Doktorhaus Wallisellen.
