Dress code 2022

The dress code applies to all WDSF tournaments and also applies to the tournament regulations of the WDSF member states.

This WDSF dress code applies to all STSV tournaments.

WDSF-
Juvenile regulations

  • White shirt or black polo with long
    sleeves (sleeves not rolled up, shirt tucked in).

  • STSV: Bow tie or tie optional


  • Black jersey with white blouse, T-shirt or bodysuit, plain dress or jersey with bodysuit of the same colour

  • The skirt may contain up to 4 half circles as well as an underskirt, but may not be reinforced with fish thread. It must not be longer than just covering the knee and not shorter than 10 cm above the knee.

  • Several types of fabric of the same colour may be used for the top. Sheer fabric (except for sleeves) must be lined with non-transparent fabric of the same colour The sleeves must cover the armpits (no sleeveless tops)

  • No decoration (not even in the hair)

  • No make-up

  • Shoes with 3.5 cm heel. Any shoe colour and material allowed


Juniors I+II

  • STANDARD: Like schoolchildren, plus gilet
    and dress shirt with white bow tie allowed

  • LATIN: any colour for trousers and top is permitted. Top may also be transparent and must be closed up to the breastbone.


  • According to the WDSF dress code for the age category Juvenile

  • Multi-coloured fabrics as well as different colours (bodysuit/jean) are allowed.

  • STSV: Age-appropriate, non-exaggerated facial make-up permitted

  • STSV: Dancers under 14 years of age may generally only wear heels that are ≤ 5 cm high.

  • Day or training wear without materials with a luminous effect, no tournament wear

  • Applications are not permitted

  • STANDARD: Black or midnight blue suit, white shirt. black or midnight blue tie OR tailcoat with white tailcoat shirt and white bow tie.

  • LATEIN: any colour for trousers and top is permitted. The top may also be transparent and open up to the belt.


  • Tournament clothes

  • Panty shape see following slide. Skin-coloured panties are not permitted

  • The breast must be covered. The distance between the bra cups must be less than 5 cm

As of June 2021, the following additional rewording applies to the "Intimate Area" for women's panties:

  • View from behind: Top g straight horizontal line. The buttock cleft must not be visible. The entire buttock muscle must be covered

  • Front view: The panties must not be cut higher than the bump line between the leg and the body.

  • View from the side: In the red shaded area, there must be a connection between the front and rear parts at least 5 cm high, which either consists of transparent material backed by non-transparent fabric, or of skin fabric with decoration.
