The first part of the STSV course for disc jockeys took place last Sunday at the "Dancers" in Wallisellen. Course leader Gunar Haas and his co-instructors Oliver Baumann and Brigitte Stäldi welcomed six graduates to teach them the basic theoretical knowledge that is required when "putting on" the music and interacting with tournament management and speakers.
In a second part, which takes place in late summer and autumn, the new DJ sextet will be coached in practical work on the occasion of STSV tournaments. Afterwards, the trained DJs should be able to accompany a tournament in a musically correct way. In future, only successful graduates of this two-part course will be used as DJs at Swiss championships. The six DJ candidates are Paolo Del Bianco, Miriam Lehnherr, Pirmin Kistler, Alexander Florin, Stefan Frehner and Martin Stählin.
