On Saturday, 20 September, the big autumn highlight of the 2025 dance sport year will take place at the Doktorhaus Wallisellen, where the best Swiss Latin couples of all age groups will compete in the national championship. The Glattal Pokal organised by Turniertanzsportklub Zürich (TTZ), which takes place at the same time, will focus on Standard.
Who can defend the championship titles from the previous year, who will cause surprises and dance their way onto the podium? Of course, the favourites are usually the same, but an SM has always provided a surprise. In the main category, Davide Corrodi/Maja Kucharczyk from Zug are aiming for their fourth gold medal in a row. The first challengers are the two TTZ pairs Tristan Geiger/Catherine Pisarenko and Angeliina Lesniak/Flavio Lesniak, who fought a fierce battle for silver last year. Alessandro Faraco/Charleen Leimer and the unpredictable returnees Philipp Hofstetter/Valeria Alena Schaffner from the NHDC are also in the running.
The standard competitions start at 11.45 am as part of the traditional Glattalpokal, while the qualification competitions in the Latin beginner classes begin at 2.50 pm. All Latin finals are scheduled in the evening programme, which will be launched at 19.05 with the entry of the best Swiss Latin couples.
If you are unable to attend the competitions in Wallisellen, you can watch the uncommented live stream.
