Special setting at the Spring Cup

Live orchestra, many new Spectators and enthusiastic dance couples - the first Spring Cup in Zurich took place in the special setting of the Academia Dance Club's Spring Ball in the Spirgarten hall. A great competition format that the co-organising DUZ brought back to life.

Already at the beginning of the tournament, the rounds of the pupils and the classes D+C took place in front of numerous visitors. After various senior categories, the couples of the main category also danced in the late afternoon, which was then to take place in the evening as part of the ball.

There, the DUZ kids first put on a great show before the winning couple in Standard was determined. In front of the enthusiastic ball visitors, the Swiss champions Volodymir Kasilov/Yulia Dreier took the victory ahead of Federico Antonini/Benedetta Castaldi. Behind the two DUZ couples, the newly formed TTZ siblings Mikhail Pikulin/Eva Pikulina finished in third place. In the final of the Latin American dances, Tristan Geiger/Catherine Pisarenko prevailed ahead of their TTZ club colleagues Dominik Zimmermann and Mae Lilija Hoffmeister. Luca-Baptiste Pierre Alfredo Ruef/Julia Amato also earned a place on the podium. The finals were framed by the Zurich University Orchestra Polyphonia and the groovy basses of Polyband.
