Geneva KapDanse Club

Rue du Belvédère 5
In 1995, in order to give some motivated couples access to licensed competitions (Latin American sport dances and standard dances), about 20 dance sport enthusiasts founded a Geneva club, the Sportive Dance Club Genève (SDCG).
The kap'danse dance school, founded by Barbara Kappeler, a qualified dance teacher, trains the licensed couples and also offers them the opportunity to train on its premises. The SDCG took up residence at 112 rue de Lyon in Geneva, the address of the kap'danse school, and became the kap'danse club (kdc).
Always in close collaboration with the kap'danse school, over the months and years the kdc has created and organised dance evenings, balls, dance courses, shows and competitions that have sprung up in the charming village of Dardagny. Rhinestones and glitter were then the order of the day in the vineyards and dancers from all over Switzerland and even from France and Italy of all ages whirled around in the middle of the Geneva countryside.
In 2014, after losing its premises in Rue de Lyon, the kap'danse club gets a new face and becomes the Geneva KapDanse Club with a new board (GKDC).
