Further training

DJ Basic Course

Music is one of the most important pillars of dance sport. That is why the STSV is offering training as a tournament DJ from this year onwards. Here, the participants will learn how to musically design and accompany a dance tournament and contribute to a smooth tournament process.

The training consists of a two-part course:

In Part 1 the basic theoretical knowledge is imparted.

In Part 2 practical implementation is instructed and practised within the framework of live coaching during a tournament.

Objective: After completing the two-part course, the trained DJs are able to accompany a tournament in a musically correct way. The quality of the tournaments will be increased.

Perspective: In the future, only successful graduates of this basic course will be used as DJs at Swiss Dance Championships.

Part 1 of the basic course will take place on 16 July from 10 am - 5 pm (including lunch break) at the Dancers dance school at Gewerbehallenstrasse 2 in Wallisellen. Gunar Haas, Oliver Baumann, Brigitte Stäldi and Martin Zinser will be the instructors. The course costs are CHF 50.00 per participant. All interested people are welcome who meet the following requirements: Music affinity, laptop with music programme, own music collection (optional). Registrations should be sent to the STSV training officer, course leader Gunar Haas, by 30 June at the latest.

Application deadline: 30 June 2023
