Training as a certified children's and youth dance teacher

The Association of Swiss Dance Teachers swissdance is now launching a course that is only offered every four years - training to become a qualified dance teacher for children and young people.

Interested STSV dancers aged 18 and over with experience in couple dancing are invited to start the one-and-a-half-year training programme to become a qualified children's and youth dance teacher from mid-2024. The entrance test will take place on 16 June and training will begin in August.

The training mainly takes place at weekends and focuses on learning and teaching individual and couple dancing. Knowledge of music theory, didactics, pedagogy and psychology as well as rhythm and dance games for different age groups is taught. STSV trainers can also attend individual modules in which they are interested by prior arrangement.
