Pilot project Solo Tournaments on 18.11.2023 as part of the Thurgau Dance Cup
For the first time, an STSV tournament will feature a Latin Solo Tournament for pupils (up to 2012) and juniors (up to 2008) will take place. For this purpose, the STSV has joined forces with the SDSC (Swiss Dancesport Council), an organisation for the promotion of dancing in popular sports, as it already has experience in organising solo tournaments in Switzerland.
Here is the most important information:
- Dancing will take place in both age categories in the strength classes "Hobby" (beginners) and "Rising Stars" (advanced dancers or dancers with STSV licence from C class).
- Dances: Hobby: Samba / Chachacha / Jive; Rising Stars: Samba / Chachacha /Jive and Rumba
- Dress code: Hobby -> daywear without appliqués and glitter / Rising Stars -> day or tournament wear
- Heel height pupils: up to 3.5 cm, juniors: up to 5 cm
- Step limit: none
- Starting licence: none
- Entry fee: CHF 10.-/person
