Dance sport rarely receives media attention. Now the "NZZ am Sonntag Magazin", with a readership of 343,000, has given us a lot of space for once; Swiss dance sport as the cover story, running to eight pages of photos and text. Author Margrit Sprecher, dubbed the grande dame of Swiss reportage journalism, spent several weeks researching for this detailed report. She formulates her report in a lucid manner and sketches her own personal picture.
The Executive Board would like to point out that it did not receive this report for proofreading prior to publication, nor did it have any other knowledge of its content (the journalist is free to do or not to do this), and although we agree with the gist of some of the statements, we distance ourselves from the disparagement of our athletes contained in the article.
As you know, one of the association's medium-term goals is to attract more public attention. This NZZ cover story is a piece of the mosaic on this path. Even if not all that glitters glitters. We are firmly convinced that with the joint implementation of the measures we have initiated and actively communicated, we will make our sport shine.
