Swiss Dance Tour Festival in Chiasso

The dance sport tournament season will be properly launched on Easter weekend in Ticino with the Swiss Dance Tour Festival. From Good Friday to Easter Sunday, the Ticino Dance Sport Club is organising various WDSF and STSV tournaments in the Balerna sports hall near Chiasso, which are also well used by dancing couples from Italy. The starting fields are impressive on all three days.

The programme begins on Good Friday at 1 pm, the WDSF Standard U21 and Senior IV competitions start at 6.30 pm. The big highlight of the 16-hour programme on Easter Saturday is the WDSF Standard Adults competition with 74 couples, other core events of the evening programme are the WDSF Standard Seniors III and Youth. On Easter Sunday, the WDSF Latin Adults tournament stands out, with 65 couples competing and the final being danced at around 8 pm.

Trainer training - attractive offer

Technique in dance sport requires organisation - by which we mean the functional interplay of body elements in movement. In order to learn this organisation, trainers need a specific methodology.

DanceDrive Zurich is a new STSV member

DanceDrive Zurich (DDZ), based in Oberengstringen, will be accepted as a new STSV member as of 8 January 2026. The one-month consultation procedure was not utilised, and the current STSV members have thus accepted the recommendation.
