Corrodi/Kucharczyk realise first SM triple

After winning the standard and ten-dance titles this year, Davice Corrodi/Maja Kucharczyk have now also won Latin gold and thus realised the gold triple within one season for the first time. Not only the TSCZ couple, but also all four other title defenders were able to win gold again in Felben-Wellhausen. With a total of 75 couples from 14 clubs from all language regions, Swiss dance sport presented itself in the best light to the enthusiastic audience.

Corrodi/Kucharczyk from Tanzsportclub Zug can tick off another career goal. Although the two HSG students still had to write intermediate exams in St. Gallen during the day, they shone as usual on the dance floor in the evening and gave the competition in the main category no chance. "We are proud that we were able to set this personal mark," they said happily. In the final, Paky Cortese/Valeria Alena Schaffner (DCNH), a recently formed dance couple, surprisingly came closest to them. Bronze went to the TTZ challengers Tristan Geiger/Catherine Pisarenko.

DCNH becomes the clearer

Danceclub New Horizon from Schwyz confirmed its upward trend of recent years in the Latin American dances. With 11 couples competing, the Central Swiss team not only had the third-highest contingent behind Dance Unlimited Zurich (DUZ) and Tanzsportklub Zürich (TTZ), but also took silver in the main category and other finals. In the youth category, Alessandro Faraco/Charleen Leimer repeated their title, while four other DCHN couples also made it onto the podium.

Flavio Lodigiani/Patricia Patt from Lucerne, who celebrated their 13th title in the Senior II category, remain an emotional perennial favourite. Other successful title defenders were Felix Locher/Silvia Nater (TTZ) in the Senior I category, Henri Arpad Hoffmeister/Erica Kerkenyakova (TTZ) in the Junior category and Mihail Novikov/Taisiia Vasileva (DUZ) in the Pupils category. The two junior categories finally saw larger fields again; 20 couples were registered for the juniors and 15 couples for the students.

The Teen Dance Club Frauenfeld (TDC) proved to be a prudent organiser who was able to inspire numerous companies as event partners for dance sport and was ultimately rewarded with a large crowd. In sporting terms, the TDC seems to be recovering after the pandemic slump and was able to send five dance couples and five solo dancers onto the floor.
